***School Records*** *The 4×400-meter relay team of Hallie Trueblood, Emalyn Campbell, Jacey Fuller, and Lexi Weber broke their own school record today, posting a time of 4:37.00. *Ali Ward set a new school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.42 seconds. *Ali Ward set a new school record in the 200-meter dash, breaking her own previous record with a time of 27.89 seconds. *Ali Ward broke the school record in the long jump with a jump of 15'7.5". *Quenton Long broke the school record in the discus with a throw of 145'5". What a day for Tiger track and field! Congratulations on these outstanding accomplishments.

***School Records*** *The 4×800-meter relay team of Kierstyn Moore, Elle Hamlin, Mya Stott, and Reagan Brewer broke their own school record today, posting a time of 10:50.09. *For the second time this season, Charlee Holland recorded two jumps in a single meet that surpassed the previous school record. Today, she broke the school record for the third and fourth time and also set a new conference meet record in the long jump with a leap of 18'3". Another outstanding day for both the individuals and the varsity girls track team. Congratulations on these accomplishments, ladies! Pictures to follow.

Lewis and Clark Conference Meet The varsity girls had another strong showing today at a highly competitive conference track meet. As a team, they set two new school records and recorded numerous personal bests. They are clicking on all cylinders right now, and we feel we’re right where we need to be as we head into districts this Saturday at Glasgow.

Conference Track Results from Salisbury Beautiful track weather for this one. Not too hot but a little windy. Probably still a few sunburnt kids. Cason Talbert got 4th with his best time ever in the 110 m High Hurdles with an 18.16. His times this year have been steadily getting better. Impressive to see kids work and show progress. Keep it up! Congrats to everyone on a great learning regular season. Districts are Saturday at Glasgow.

Lewis and Clark Conference Meet Ali Ward was the recipient of the High Point Girl award, earning the honor with an outstanding all-around performance. She placed first in both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, setting school records in each event. She also earned a second-place finish in the long jump, where she set another school record, and added a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Ali scored 31 points for her team on her way to the award. Quite the day for Ali. Congratulations on an exceptional performance!

Lewis and Clark Conference Meet The two junior high track teams competed at the conference meet today at Salisbury, facing strong competition. Both teams battled and earned a fourth-place finish. On the girls’ side, SIX new school records were set, marking an outstanding performance, while the boys’ team added to the success with one new school record of their own.

The Scotland County Lady Tigers had a great day today at the Putnam County Marcus Hounsom Relays! The girls added a few more personal bests, improving their district rankings as they prepare for next Saturday. Marcus Hounsom Relays Much nicer today than yesterday! Congrats to the girls on another team win! Silas Williams got 4th place in the 2 mile run with a PR of 12:49.21 Cason Talbert got 3rd in the 110 high hurdles with a 18.39 4x100 Relay Team (Landon McDonald. Cason Talbert. Taygen Miller. Easton Barron) got 4th with a 50.75 Taygen Miller got 7th in the long jump with 4.9m

Scotland County Junior Varsity fired a 366 at the Highland Tournament today. The team finished 4th of 11 teams. Preston McBee finished 8th individual and earned a medal!

Spring Sports Senior Recognition Night Our Spring Sports Senior Recognition Night will be held on Monday, May 4, following the baseball game vs Canton. Participants should gather near the third base dugout following the conclusion of the game.

Knox County Relays Less than beautiful day this time but still some good results.

***School Record*** After breaking the school record in the triple jump four times last season, Charlee did it again this afternoon with a jump of 34'5" at the Knox County Relays. Let’s go, Chuck. Congratulations, Charlee!

Friday, May 1st is Elementary Muffins for Moms beginning at 7:30 am in the elementary gym. Beginning at 11:30 am, we will start our 3rd-6th grade track and field day. If you plan to take your student with you following the track meet, you must sign them out with their teacher. This week is also our BOGO book fair! Stop in and stock up for summer reading! The book fair will be open Thursday, April 30th from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and Friday, May 1st from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The Book Fair will be closed during the Elementary Field Day, but will reopen at the conclusion of the meet.

Also, Friday is the final day for elementary yearbook orders. Yearbooks are $17 each and may be purchased in the elementary office.

Congratulations to Finley Heine on signing with Columbia College to continue both her academic and athletic career in competitive cheer. Finley will compete as a member of the Cougars competitive cheer program, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her. Best of luck, Finley!
