Reminder youth softball camp will take place Wednesday May 27th and Thursday May 28th. 3rd-5th grade will be 3:15-4:15pm and 6th-8th grade will be 4:15-5:15pm. Please bring a glove, a bat, cleats or tennis shoes, and water. We can’t wait to get to work!
Congratulations to Kierstyn Moore for competing in the 3200m run and finishing 16th place at the State Track Meet with a time of 13:45.07. Her personal best this season was 12:49.38 but she has been battling injuries during the postseason, but has continued to compete with determination and gave it everything she had. We are incredibly proud of Kierstyn’s toughness, effort, and the way she represented Scotland County all season long!


Congratulations to Maty Buford on her 6th place finish in the Discus at the MSHSAA Class 1 State Track Meet! We are extremely proud of everything you accomplished during your junior season and the hard work and dedication you showed throughout the year. We can’t wait to see what your senior season has in store!


Congratulations to Charlee Holland on an outstanding career and a 9th-place finish in the triple jump at State with a jump of 10.10 meters! We are incredibly proud of Charlee’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to Scotland County track and field over the past four years. Your leadership, determination, and success have made a lasting impact on the program. Congratulations on a tremendous high school career!


Congratulations to the ALL-FRESHMAN 4x800 relay team of Kierstyn Moore, Elle Hamlin, Mya Stott, and Reagan Brewer on their 12th-place finish at the State Track Meet! Competing at the state level as an all-freshman group is an incredible accomplishment, and we are so proud of the hard work, determination, and teamwork these girls showed all season long.

Coach Lucas and ten members of the high school girls track team have departed for Adkins Stadium at Jefferson City High School to compete in the MSHSAA Track & Field State Championships. These talented ladies will represent Scotland County in seven events across Friday and Saturday. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, and we know the entire community stands behind them. Kwayde Hamilton triples and scores Tayte Richmond in the bottom of the first. The Tigers are on the board but trail Putnam County 4-1. Heine helps his own cause with an RBI single, making it 4-2.
Congratulations to Tayte Richmond and Carter Clatt on being selected to the Lewis & Clark All Conference Baseball Teams. Tayte is a First Team honoree for the second consecutive season, and this year’s selection marks his fourth appearance in as many years on one of the all-conference baseball teams. Carter’s selection to the Second Team gives him the distinction of earning all-conference honors in the fall (football), winter (basketball), and spring (baseball). Congratulations, guys!

Baseball Scheduling Update
In an effort to stay ahead of the weather, tonight’s district baseball games will begin 30 minutes earlier than originally scheduled. Schuyler County and Canton will play the first of two games with a 4:30 p.m. first pitch. Scotland County will play Putnam County immediately following the conclusion of the Schuyler County-Canton game. The bus will depart for Queen City at 4:15 p.m.
