The Lady Tigers had a great showing today at the Gary Ewing Invitational in Brookfield, finishing 3rd out of 22 teams!
We broke the 4x800m relay record and had several personal bests and season bests across the board. Proud of the effort and progress this group continues to make.
We’re back in action Monday at the Rachel Morris Relays in Schuyler County!

Beautiful day for track. Injuries are still an issue. Two guys should be back in action hopefully next week if they can get healthy. Everyone did well but with 24 teams it was too much for us this day.
Congrats to Layne Pflum for a new PR in the javelin. Congrats to the girls for a great finish. Congrats to Landon McDonald for a new PR in the triple jump.

Mrs. Kiger’s class is reading the book Maus. Part one of this book is titled “my father bleed history,” and with this in mind, students discuss how our community members are our history books. They then go on to learn about professional interviews, emails, and communication, which they use to interview a community member about a historical event they have experienced. Today, students conducted those interviews. We appreciate all the members who took their time to come to speak with our students.

North Shelby Junior High Relays
The junior high girls track team secured their third top-two finish in five meets this season with a second-place finish, while the boys are inching closer to a full complement of participants, earning themselves a fourth-place finish in today’s 11-team meet. Good work.
Last week, the Scotland County FBLA chapter attended State Conference in Springfield, MO where several students were able to compete. In addition to competitions and workshops, Adelynn Hoyal and Austin Ambrose each were awarded their 200 hour Community Service Award pins.

Scotland County finishes 2nd in the Atlanta - La Plata Invitational Golf tournament.
The tigers shot a team score of 357, and all 3 seniors earned top 10 medals.
Dane Blessing finished 2nd individually with a score of 82.
Levi Stott and Wesley McSparren tied for 7th place with a score of 89.
Cohen Small rounded out the team score and shot a 97 to finish 18th individually.
Preston McBee shot a 121.
