Softball Scheduling Update September 14, 2026 Scotland County at Putnam County Varsity Softball 5:00 Junior High Softball to follow Putnam County’s South Field is unplayable ahead of this evening’s games, limiting play to just one field. Due to these circumstances, tonight’s schedule has been revised. There will be two games: one varsity game and one junior high game. The varsity game will be played first, with a 5:00 p.m. first pitch, followed by the junior high game.

Due to injuries and low numbers on Highland's football team the JV game Monday has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Junior Varsity Football Scheduling Update I was notified by Highland that they are dealing with low numbers in their program and are limited in the number of quarters they can play. They’re unable to commit to a full game, so we'll only play two quarters Monday night.

Scotland County Cross Country traveled to the Davis County CC Invite last night. The runners had a very successful evening. The varsity girls placed 3rd as a team. With 49 girls running Georgia Taylor placed 1st, Reagan Brewer 9th, Kierstyn Moore 13th, Emma Whitney 17th, and Cammy Frederick was 32nd. Silas Williams placed 44th out of 76 varsity boys. Jr High girls had 32 runners. Hallie Trueblood placed 3rd, Tania Bashkirova was 22nd, and Maudi Fountain placed 31st. Congratulations to all the runners!

High School Softball Scheduling Update The softball field isn’t responding well to the current conditions. Today’s weather is not conducive to drying, with high humidity, complete cloud cover, and zero wind. Conditions will need to improve dramatically over the next couple of hours for the softball field to be playable by 5:00. The baseball field, however, is ready, and we could play on it right now. Therefore, we are moving forward with the games being played on the baseball field rather than the softball field. Thank you for your understanding.

Scotland County was well represented at the Highland XC meet tonight. Bringing home a 1st place medal was Hallie Trueblood for Jr. High. Our varsity girls team came in 3rd place. The individuals bringing home medals were Georgia Taylor in 2nd place, Kierstyn Moore in 7th place, and Reagan Brewer in 8th place. Silas Willams made his XC debut coming in with a speedy time and placing 33rd out of 54 runners!! Congratulations to all the runners on a very successful meet!
