A big thank you to Katie Harris for taking the time to visit the eighth grade careers class and share her experience as a juvenile officer. Katie’s presentation was informative, engaging, and gave the students valuable insight into the important work that a juvenile officer does.

Kirk Stott, Scotland County High School Head Varsity Football Coach, presented a program to the members of the Rotary Club of Scotland County on September 3, 2025, at their noon meeting at Keith's Cafe. Coach Stott reported on 35 players dressing out this season on the varsity team and approximately 20 players on the Junior High team. Other varsity coaches are Dave Shalley, Matt Wickert, Jordan Fulk and Jason Small. The Junior High head coach is Brent Bondurant, assisted by Chris Cerroni, Alex Long, Jim Long and Landyn Swearingen. The football alumni and community has supported many fundraisers that have resulted in new equipment for the program over the last several years. The SC Tiger football team recently helped the members of the Rotary Club of Scotland County put up and take down the BINGO tent for the Antique Fair. Rotary made a donation to the football program in appreciation for their help. Coach Stott (left) is pictured with Rotarian Kevin Brown.

One final practice before we take the field tomorrow night. Come out and support this group, let’s pack the stands.

REMINDER: To be eligible for the $25 in Memphis Chamber Bucks, FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH FORMS must be turned in to the elementary or high school office by this Friday, August 29, 2025.
The Brashear Softball Cluster scheduled for this Saturday has been canceled. Unfortunately, Brashear doesn't have enough eligible players to field a team, and Milan has made the decision not to compete. While disappointing, we're looking ahead to Thursday, September 4 when we host Clark County. We hope to see you then.
