Quick update, the availability of the softball field is very much up in the air for this evening. Efforts have been made to ready the field for play, but time will tell. We'll closely monitor the progress of field conditions and attempt to make a decision that allows ample time for the field to respond, but also allows enough time for an alternate plan to be put in motion.
Thank you to Judge Webber for coming into Careers class today. He gave an inspirational presentation over his life path and how being from Scotland County affected it.

The softball games between Scotland County and Paris, scheduled for tonight, have been rescheduled. We'll play tomorrow night.
The parent player meeting for the junior high basketball season will be Wednesday, September 25 at 6:00. The boys will meet in the high school library, and the girls will meet in the high school commons. Please enter the building using the southeast (high school office) entrance. If you're unable to attend, alternate plans should be made prior to tomorrow night's meeting.

As things stand, I like our chances of playing tonight. The softball field isn't an option, but I believe the baseball field is playable. With near 100% cloud cover, drying conditions aren't optimal. Any additional moisture could be problematic. In the event of rain, we'll closely monitor the progress of field conditions and make a decision accordingly. Thanks for your patience.
Homecoming
7th-12th grade students and the Jr/Sr. High staff weathered the heat today for a group picture on the football field. A great big thank you goes out to everyone who helped orchestrate this photo and to all the students and staff for their patience. A special thank you to Jason Small for bringing out his drone on such short notice and to Jenny Bergeson for taking pictures from the stands. We will be using one of today's photos for the cover of this year's yearbook
