The trio of games scheduled for Monday, September 16 with Putnam County will not be rescheduled. Attempts were made to reschedule, but to no avail. The softball window is tight, and we exhausted our options. I received notification from Milan that the our games scheduled for Monday, October 7 were being bumped in favor of a conference reschedule with Brookfield. Disappointing, but understandable given the circumstances. The Milan cancellation allowed for the rescheduling of the varsity and junior varsity contests with Clark County. Still looking for a junior high game, Clark County agreed to bring their teams to play on the evening of October 7. To recap briefly, varsity, junior varsity, and junior high will host Clark County on Monday, October 7. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 at both parks.

The Art 1 students are participating in a Collaboration Recycled Project that invites students to creatively engage with the theme of sustainability through artistic expression. This project encourages participants to use recycled materials to create unique artworks that resonate with one of the four prompts: Reach for the Stars, Go to the Beach, Change the World or Create a Step-Stool for a short-legged Giraffe.--

Conditions at the softball field have progressed, but not to the point of justifying play. With that in mind, the decision has been made to move the varsity softball game to North Shelby. The bus will depart for North Shelby at 2:45, with first pitch scheduled for 5:00. I understand this decision isn’t ideal, but player safety is, and will remain, our top priority. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for understanding. The junior high will play as originally scheduled.
