Elementary students received their photo IDs today. The back of the ID has an electronic fob sticker that is used to scan when entering and exiting the school bus. ID badges have a lanyard that can be clipped to school bags. Students are asked to scan ID badges each time they enter and exit the school bus. Thank you

Memphis FFA Boys A Trap Team Takes Home Second Place at Green City Shoot On Saturday, September 17th, the Memphis FFA Trap Teams competed in the annual Green City FFA Chapter Trap Shoot held at Bosco's near Lancaster. Memphis FFA Boys A Team came in second place, behind Canton Boys A Team. Memphis Boys A Team shot a 227/250 and Canton County Boys A Team shot a 230/250. The Memphis FFA Boys A Team consisted of Senior Aaron McDaniel (48/50), Sophomore Merit Miller (46/50), Junior Kallen Hamlin (45/50), Junior Hunter Holt (45/50) and Junior Corbin Blessing (43/50). There were 35 squads on the line that day shooting. Memphis FFA took 6 squads to compete. A tradition of the Memphis FFA Trap Shooting program is to shoot the hat of any team member that shoots their first ever perfect round of 25/25 and subsequent streaks. This is done by having a coach stand on a trap house and throw the hat in the air (weighted with rocks or a bottle of water) and team members shoot that hat, often allowing the hat to hit the ground in the distance and then pummeling it with shells. Recently, Freshman Bode Austin hit a 25/25 streak on September 19th at practice. The Memphis FFA Trap teams compete this week at the Area III FFA Trap Shoot at Bosco's on 9/27. If they qualify to move on to the District Trap Shoot, they will compete again on 10/01 at the West Quincy Gun Club. The teams will head to Linn Creek, MO, on 10/08 to compete at the State FFA Trap Shoot at the Missouri Trap Shooters Association facility and this will be their final competition of the season. # # # # # Photo Bi-Line: A tradition of the Memphis FFA Trap Shooting program is to shoot the hat of any team member that shoots their first ever perfect round of 25/25 and subsequent streaks.
