Scotland County School Foundation Reception

The Scotland County School Foundation hosted their annual reception last night at the Scotland County High School. Foundation members, staff, and students did an amazing job recapping an outstanding year.

Dual Credit Scholarships

• Total awarded: $8,505

• Fall semester: 23 students received scholarships

• Spring semester: 11 students received scholarships

Austin Ambrose, Layla Baker, Keeley Brown, Kenna Campbell, Carter Clatt, Niya Coffman, Laney Doster, Lilly Frederick, Charlee Holland, Adelynn Hoyal, Morgan Jackson, Sadie Jackson, Zada Ketchum, Kaley Kerkmann, Aria Mishra, Mason Myers, Ava Remley, Cohen Small, Sandra Steele, Ciara Smith, Cason Talbert, Lily Wheeler, and Hannah Whitney.

Spring recipients (11 students):

Austin Ambrose, Keeley Brown, Niya Coffman, Laney Doster, Lilly Frederick, Charlee Holland, Morgan Jackson, Sadie Jackson, Zada Ketchum, Ciara Smith, Lily Wheeler, and Hannah Whitney.

Classroom Mini Grants

• Total awarded: $2,237.86

• Number of grants: 9 (across fall and spring semesters)

• These grants support projects designed to improve and enhance student achievement.

Fall recipients (8 teachers):

Riley Lucas, Jane Gordichuk, Melissa Hamm, Tia Hamilton, Kalissa Thomas, Terri Young, Abbey Dodge, and Kade Richmond.

Spring recipients (3 teachers):

Jane Gordichuk, Jenna Ketchum, and Kalissa Thomas.

• The meeting also included refreshments for everyone in attendance.

The Scotland County School Foundation remains committed to supporting the students, teachers, staff, and administrators of the SCR-I School District through both financial assistance and active patronage of academic and extracurricular activities.
