Spelling Words

There will be NO Spelling words next week!  

This Week.....

Today your child will be bringing home their Friday Journal. They will have written a letter to someone in it.  The person that they have written to needs to reply on the next page.  Please make sure your child does this.  They will need to bring the journal back on Monday.  This is a great way to communicate with others.  The directions are on the inside cover if you are unsure of what to do.  

Upcoming Events 

Summer school packets were sent home a couple of weeks ago.  If you would like for your child to attend, please return those packets as soon as possible. 

Our class field trip was on Wednesday, May 15th.  The weather was awesome and the kids really enjoyed the day.  Thank you to our parents who went with us and helped!  We greatly appreciated it.

Please make sure you empty your child's folder each night and take out the papers from each day.  Be sure to look for letters regarding other events taking place.  Sometimes we send letters home during the week with important information. 

Several students are completely done with the addition and subtraction Rocket Math.  I am so proud of the students who have managed their free time and completed the tests.  At the end of the year at the awards assembly I will be handing out certificates for Addition and Subtraction Rocket Math, Book It, and Reading Circle.  

Grade cards will be sent home on Friday.  They will be yours to keep.

After today, we only have 5 days left of school.  Its hard to believe we are approaching the end of the year!

The last day of school will be May 24th.  We will dismiss early that day.  There will be an awards assembly at 8:30 that morning in the Elementary gym.  You are welcome to attend.

This will be my last letter of the year.  I have truly enjoyed teaching your child this year.  I hope that all of you have a great summer!
